Sheila Burnett is a Professional Theatre Photographer based in the centre of London specialising in actors’ headshots.
Sheila’s actors headshots are taken digitally so the images can be viewed as the session progresses. She has a home studio just off Warwick Avenue in Maida Vale W9, It’s easy to reach by either bus or tube. Traveling time approx 20 minutes from the West End. She also has access to a large communal garden which is great for outdoor shots and full length photos, a good place to start the shoot after a cuppa and a chat indoors.
Professional Headshot Portraits are important for any actor & Sheila makes sure that you have the finest quality headshots for your portfolio.Proofs are send online and as soon as you have made your selection, your chosen photos are finished to the highest standard. All chosen photos are cropped to size, colour corrected and touched up for any unwanted blemishes or stray hairs. They are sent to you Hi res & highly finished, Sheila includes this finishing process as part of the session. The choice of photographic lighting is Tungsten and natural light. Tungsten lighting is commonly used in Theatre & Film, and unlike flash it offers a constant light. The advantage of indoor photography is that we are in total control of the environment and don’t have to cancel for bad weather, another advantage is that there is a place for you to freshen up when you arrive, and a place to change, do make up, shave etc.
The combination of indoor shots and outdoor photography, gives you a wider scope for your casting possiblities. Outdoor headshots are very natural using existing light be it sunny or overcast, this appeals to the American and European market. The indoor shots are traditional, dramatic & stylishly ‘hollywood’. It’s fine to do just studio if that’s what you prefer. Sessions start from 12 noon onwards (timing is flexible) Saturday afternoon sessions are also available.
Sheila has had 25 years experience taking actors headshots including well known actors from theatre, film and TV, along with radio, TV presenters, musicians, writers and students from most of the leading drama schools in London and across the UK.
