About Sheila Burnett, a professional theatre photographer based in the centre of London
I am a photographer and used to be a performer, having studied at Birmingham School of Art I came to London to work as an illustrator in Fleet Street. After that, I joined The Pip Simmons Theatre Group and toured as an actor for 10 years. During this time, I took many photos of the group and it’s touring activities, and it was no surprise that when I left the group, I became a photographer, a theatre photographer eventually specialising in actors’ headshots.
I have now had 25 years experience as a professional photographer, and my approach is to work quickly without complication. In a word, I like to keep our session simple and focused, working together with you to make sure we get the best possible version of you. The session starts with a cup of tea or coffee and a chat. I am open to all questions and suggestions about hair, make-up, what to wear and any other advice you may need.I am a member of the Association of Professional Headshot Photographers and have had the pleasure of working with Damian Lewis, Simon Pegg, Caroline Quentin, Helen Lederer, Imelda Staunton, Nick Frost, Jim Carter and so many more.
